Beginners Tactics for Double-Hand Poker
November 8th, 2009 by Holden

Pai Gow Poker is a cutting-edge game with old ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the wild west in a wonderful game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the casino, not like nearly all other poker games that gamblers wager with other players. By wagering against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to worry about any other, more experienced players taking their cash.

Another Pai Gow benefit is the fairly leisurely game play, novices can take their time and scheme while not having to make quick selections.

It is also much simpler to participate in for a long time with basically a small amount of cash since, to not win, each of your hands has to be lower than each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is given 7 cards face up and the dealer receives 7 cards face down.

One five card hand and a two card hand must be made from the seven cards, the 5 card hand must be better than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be higher than the dealer’s.
