Texas Holdem Poker – Internet Type Card Rooms In Traditional Betting Houses – Like Betting onTexas Hold em on the Web
July 20th, 2012 by Holden

Have you seen the new PokerPro holdem poker tables? The first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about 2 weeks ago when I took a quick vacation with my wife to the WinStar Gambling establishment in Oklahoma.

As I anxiously waited for my turn to be called at the live tables, I watched how the other men and women around the PokerPro tables interface with one another. It was pretty interesting to say the very least. Since the poker table was computer driven, there were no clay poker chips to do any chip tricks, no cards to shuffle and the real live encounter was boring. Maybe I was the only one that discovered this, but I did observe the gamblers at the table had a dull quality to them. The reason behind this may be because there was no human conversation with the croupier, the environment was relatively dull and the players looked tired. It was almost as if I was looking at a live variant of an internet texas hold’em poker room instead of sitting with hot blooded humans. It was a tiny bit freaky and I continued to have flash backs to a show of Star trek and the holodeck malfunctioned.

Since the waiting time for the stay tables for more than an hour, I made a decision to see how the game action was and to encounter this new texas holdem poker gaming technology. Following playing a couple of hands, I definitely felt like I was wagering at home. The lack of activity in the table was the primary reason. I prefer to stack and shuffle my chips, and mix my cards around. None of those things are possible at these digital tables.

Another thing I observed was how the computer dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I played a whole lot of hands in the PokerPro table and discovered that the play was a good deal like an internet hold’em poker site. That might have been just a coincidence, except I found it to become really odd.

Right after playing a few rounds with this "new texas hold em poker technology", I decided that the PokerPro tables have been not for me. I’m better off betting texas hold em poker on the net at home and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling den were to get rid of the live poker tables, I think they would shed a great deal of players.
