NL Texas Holdem Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?
July 21st, 2018 by Holden

Phil Ivey has been referred to as the best poker competitor on the globe by most of the top professionals. He was born in Riverside, CA and moved to New Jersey before reaching turning one. His grandpa taught him one cent-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From that point on, he was addicted to poker and wanted to learn every little thing he possibly could about poker. Phil routinely would tell his elders that he was planning on being a professional poker player. He did not allow the adverse comments from other people annihilate his goal of being one of the strongest poker players on the planet.

Phil began competing intently after getting a fake ID with the name of Jerome. He practiced his skills at the poker rooms of Atlantic City. The initial number of years for Phil were a learning experience and coming away with a win wasn’t a normal outcome at the time. Phil became known at the 2000 World Series of Poker when he achieved 2 final tables and came away with his 1st World Series of Poker bracelet, in a $2, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha event. At the final table he destroyed a number of the well known professionals which includes "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.

He decided to take his skills to the successive level and moved out west to Las Vegas. Phil continues to play in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players in the world. Phil credits his achievements to dedication and an eternal passion for poker. Phil says that he is learning every day and is quite abashed about his achievements. He admits to making errors every single session of poker and constantly aspires to improve.

Despite the fact that Phil has come first in some big tournaments, he prefers destroying cash games on a normal basis.
