Internet poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years numerous types on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with 21 than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the dealer instead of each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little concealment or other kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the croupier declares "No further wagers." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other gamblers attain 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s first card, you must in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s amount is akin to your original bet, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Abandoning means that your ante goes immediately to the bank. After the bet is the showdown. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, with a sum equal to the ante. If the house does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The casino pony’s up chips equal to your original bet and controlled odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
